Celebrating Our 2026 Inspection...
We are incredibly proud of our latest Ofsted inspection, which reflects the care, passion and ambition that sits at the heart of St Vincent's Nursery.
Following our inspection on 4th February 2026, St Vincent's achieved Strong Standard across five key areas, with our safeguarding standards fully met. Under Ofsted's new inspection framework, a Strong Standard means that 'leaders are working above the standard expected of them.' We were delighted that the report captured so many of the things that make St Vincent's special.
Ofsted described us as an 'inspiring and stimulating setting', recognising our ambitious, creative curriculum and the high aspirations we have for every child. Inspectors found that children achieve consistently well, develop confidence and resilience and are well prepared for the next stage of their learning.
What OFSTED saw at St Vincent's...
The report recognised:
Happy, secure children whose sense of 'awe, wonder and curiosity' is nurtured through their experiences.
Warm and nurturing relationships, with our key-person system identified as an overall strength.
An ambitious, creative and responsive curriculum designed around children's individual needs.
A strong culture of inclusion, where children's needs are recognised, valued and acted upon.
Strong partnerships with families, helping to provide consistency between nursery and home.
A passionate team who feel valued and show clear pride in their work.
Perhaps most importantly, Ofsted captured what nursery life feels like for our children. The report describes children arriving 'calm, happy and eager to play' and highlights the strong sense of belonging they experience throughout the nursery.
Always Growing...
We are incredibly proud of our inspection, but at St Vincent's we never stand still. Ofsted recognised that our leaders 'are ambitious and drive a culture of continuous improvement'; something that perfectly reflects our commitment to continually developing what we offer our children and families.
