Introducing FOREST SCHOOL!

We are delighted to introduce weekly Forest School Programme at St Vincent's Nursery across all age groups!

Forest School is a long-term program to develop children’s play, exploration and to help support their risk taking and learning how to be safe when in a natural environment. Forest School has been proven to develop a child’s confidence and self-esteem as they learn through hands-on experiences in nature.

Our Forest School sessions are carried out both in and outside our setting to allow the children to get the most out of their learning and
development. We use our own outdoor facilities, the school’s designated Forest School area, and King George’s Pond to carry out the sessions.

Sessions are delivered in blocks of 6 weeks. The last session of each block involves inviting parents to come along and join in with their child.

Forest school sessions are delivered by our fully qualified and appropriately trained Forest School Leader, Beth Froggatt. Beth is extremely passionate about outdoor learning and makes each session unique for the children. Beth is supported by another staff member in each session.
